Dr. Sa’id Alkali Kori, Chairman and Group CEO of ThinkLab Group, attended the 5th Lake Chad Basin Governors’ Forum Meeting in recognition of his significant contributions to regional cooperation and the development of the Lake Chad Basin region.
Dr. Kori was formally invited to the high-level gathering, hosted by His Excellency, Honorable Mai Mala Buni (Chiroma Gujba), the Executive Governor of Yobe State, under the leadership of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who officially declared the forum open on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.
The event, scheduled for January 29–31, 2025, took place at the Muhammadu Indimi International Conference Centre, University of Maiduguri, Borno State, with the Yobe State Government as the distinguished host.
Themed “Rebuilding the Lake Chad Basin: Consolidating Gains, Commitment to Peace, Cross-Border Cooperation, Security, and Sustainable Development for a Resilient Community,” the 2025 forum underscored the collective resolve to address the region’s pressing challenges while promoting peace, stability, and prosperity for the people of the Lake Chad Basin.
The forum brought together governors from the Lake Chad Basin, esteemed traditional leaders, high-level policymakers, international development partners, and other distinguished stakeholders, reaffirming their commitment to regional peace and sustainable development.
